- 1 1/2 lbs (750 g) bone-in skin-on chicken thighs
- salt
- ground black pepper
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1 tbsp parsley (chopped )
- 3/4 cup chicken broth
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 1/2 tsp apple cider vinegar
- 3 dashes cayenne pepper
- 1/4 tsp salt (or to taste)

- Rinse the chicken thighs with water and pat dry with paper towels.
- Season both sides with salt and ground black pepper.
- In a small bowl, mix all the ingredients for the sauce and stir well.
- Set aside.
- Heat a skillet and pan-fry the chicken thighs until the skin turns golden brown and the bottom is crispy.
- Discard the excess oil from the skillet and set the chicken thighs aside.
- Add the olive oil to the skillet over medium heat.
- Sauté the garlic until softened and lightly browned.
- Add the chicken thighs and sauce.
- Cover the skillet with a lid, reduce the heat to a simmer, and cook for about 3 minutes, or until the sauce reduces and turns brown.
- Turn the chicken a couple of times to coat it with the sauce.
- Top with chopped parsley and serve immediately.
